Still, because they make very high-quality products and stand behind them, John was able to establish this brand as the most dominant in Kentucky.

How We Met the Pink Panther
We have more than enough stories to support our faith in the brand with the famous Pink Panther mascot, but here is one story that our owner and founder related that explains how he first discovered its superiority.
Sergei relates, “I dealt with [another common brand] in Oklahoma. The sealant was not that strong. Especially if installed in the winter, moisture, debris, and dirt would make it unsealable. And in Oklahoma, the winds are higher. Then I learned that [the brand I was using] had some issues with sealant.
“Then we happened to install one home with Owens Corning brand shingles. The north side of the home had poor light, but on the areas with good light, the warmer temperatures melted the sealant quickly, and the shingles were straight and sealed.
Once in Kentucky, I was explaining to a [seasoned shingle installer that was working with me] that the weather needed to warm up for the sealant to hold. So he said, “Why don’t you just use Owens Corning?”
He was right. Owens Corning has the superior seal. From then on, I started using them more and more. Once, on one roof, the wind blew off shingles from a certain corridor three times until summer came. Then it stuck. If it had been another brand besides Owens Corning with SureNail Technology, who knows how many more times the wind would blow those shingles off?”
